Open Source Solutions
We see a dichotomy of software tools available to users:
Proprietary
Software that costs money to acquire, has licensing limits on how many machines the software can be run on,
and is locked down so that a user is unable to change or modify the software. Some software vendors appear
to be more motivated towards their own profits vs. their user's productivity.
Open Source
Software that is free to acquire, is not limited as to how many machines the software is permitted to be run on, and who's
inner architecture is open to examination and modification. Revenue is generated mostly by support for those who need it,
rather than sale and licensing control of the software. We are thankful for software vendors who provide open source solutions
with an emphasis on user productivity vs. greed.
